Questions we are often asked
What hours do you work?
We are an evening service, working Monday to Saturday, 6pm to 10pm, so jobs fit around your working day. We agree the timing with you in advance, and we keep noisy work considerate of you and your neighbours.
How is the price worked out?
Building and fitting jobs, such as wardrobes, flat-pack and TV mounting, have a set price per item. Repairs, touch-ups, tidy-ups and clean-ups are charged by the hour at the rates shown above. Either way, the price is agreed with you before we start.
When will you start taking work?
We are not taking bookings or work yet. We hope to be fully up and running by February 2028. If you would like to be in the queue, you can pre-book in the contact section, and we will be in touch once we are ready. A pre-booking is a request only and is not confirmed until we agree it with you.
How do quotes work?
Send us the details and, ideally, a photo. We reply with a clear price, usually the same day. For larger or less usual projects we confirm the price in writing before any work begins. Quotes are free and are valid for 30 days.
Do I pay a deposit to book?
No. There is no deposit and nothing to pay online. We agree the price and a time with you before any work starts.
How and when do I pay?
Payment is due once the work is complete. We send an itemised invoice with a secure card payment link, and you receive a receipt as soon as you have paid.
What is your minimum charge?
Item jobs have a minimum charge of £40 per visit, so a single small job is still worth the trip. Hourly jobs have no minimum beyond the first hour.
Are materials included?
Quoted prices cover labour. Materials are charged at cost with receipts, and we are happy to use materials you have already bought. We will always tell you the likely cost of materials before buying anything.
Is there anything you do not do?
We do not carry out gas, electrical or plumbing work, or anything that legally requires a registered or certified tradesperson. If a job falls into that category we will say so and suggest you contact the right specialist.
What about parking?
Please let us know where we can park when you book. If paid parking is needed close to your property, this is added to the invoice at cost.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone needs to let us in and agree the work, and the work area should be reasonably clear. If we cannot gain access at the agreed time, we may charge a call-out fee of up to one hour’s minimum charge.
What if I need to change or cancel a booking?
Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we will happily rearrange. Changes made within 24 hours may incur a charge to cover the time reserved.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. See our promise above. Our full terms of service explain exactly what the 14-day guarantee covers.
Can I call you instead?
Of course. Call 07459 959884 or send us a WhatsApp message. We reply as soon as we can.
Pre-book for 2028
